Last week brought an exciting bit of news for Star Wars fans. It seems that Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi may be the next character to star in a Star Wars Anthology spinoff movie. We don't know much about this mysterious project yet, but it certainly has a rich history of Obi-Wan stories from which to draw.

Little is known about the Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff movie, other than that Billy Elliot director Stephen Daldry is reportedly in talks to direct. There's no word yet if Ewan McGregor will be tapped to reprise the role, though McGregor has expressed an interested in playing Obi-Wan again. And it wouldn't be the first time McGregor has contributed to one of Disney's new Star Wars projects, as he also had a small vocal cameo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
