Stardew Valley on Switch Gets Progress Update

Not much longer now!

If a progress update from Stardew Valley publisher Chucklefish Games is any indication, it won't be much longer before ConcernedApe's role-playing farming sim is finally available on Nintendo Switch.

In a post on Twitter, Chucklefish CEO Finn Brice confirmed the Switch version has been approved, and said they're currently "working on finalizing a release date with all parties involved."

Stardew Valley was initially expected to be released for Switch this summer. A multiplayer mode will be added to the game in early 2018, and the Switch version will be the first console version of the game to support the upcoming feature.

After launching on PC in February of last year and selling over one million copies in its first two months, Stardew Valley made its way to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this past December. While a Wii U version was originally planned, that version was ultimately scrapped in favor of a Switch version.
