Square Enix Hiring for Nier-related Project

"It definitely feels like there are a great many people waiting on the world of Nier."

I appears Nier fans may have more content to look forward to, as Square Enix is looking to bring on new talent for "planning work" and "product scenario creation" related to the franchise.

As reported by Hachima Kiko (translation via Gematsu) Square Enix is hiring for someone to handle sub-quest plots and scenario framing, as well as writing item descriptions and design instructions for in-game use.

Additionally, the recruiting page of Square Enix Business Division 6 includes messages from Yoko Taro, the director of the Nier series, as well as series producer Yosuke Saito. "Thanks to everyone's support, it appears that we will be carrying out various developments in regard to Nier," Taro said. "Now I get to round up a team of people to work with me, so I'm putting out a call for talented individuals."

Saito spoke to the success of Nier, saying, "it definitely feels like there are a great many people waiting on the world of Nier," and so Square Enix has "now begun 'Nier-related product scenario staff recruitment.'"

Earlier this year, Square Enix announced shipments and digital sales of Nier: Automata passed one million units worldwide. For our thoughts on the PlatinumGames-developed action RPG, read IGN's Nier: Automata review.
