A piece of merchandise seems to have leaked the logo and protagonist for the next Assassin's Creed game.
Comic Book reports that a reliable source with ties to Ubisoft provided it with images from promotional merchandise for the likely-titled Assassin's Creed Origins.
The pictures feature T-shirts which are sporting what appears to be the new logo printed on both the tag and back of the shirts. The logo shows the usual Assassin insignia featured throughout the games with an Egyptian twist as an Eye of Horus sits in the middle of the crest.
Additionally, the front of the shirts also allows us to glean potential information about the upcoming game. What appears to be the game's protagonist, which we've seen in previous leaks, is featured wielding a bow, shield, and hidden blade gauntlets with Egyptian motifs.
49BCE is also printed at the top right of the shirt in a small font, which likely points towards the time period in which the game will be set.
The logo and better look at the new protagonist both go towards confirming the previous rumors that the new Assassin's Creed would be set in Egypt.
This is by far not the first time information about an Assassin's Creed game has been leaked with the series featuring a robust history of leaks during its tenure.
Ubisoft has said that this new Assassin's Creed and Far Cry will launch during the 2017-2018 fiscal window and we have reached out to them for further comment on these leaks.
