Alien: Covenant Concept Art Revealed

Check out some exclusive concept art and images from the new book The Art and Making of Alien: Covenant.

With Alien: Covenant now in theaters, Ridley Scott has once again given fans of the xenomorph-filled franchise lots to talk about. Love it or hate it, the prequel to Alien/sequel to Prometheus has further established the origin of the classic alien of the title.

And now Titan Books has released The Art and Making of Alien: Covenant by Simon Ward, a look at the film that's full of "sketches, blueprints, diagrams, full-color artwork, final film frames and behind-the-scenes shots from the set," according to Titan. "It explores the intricate technology of the eponymous colony ship and its auxiliary vehicles, designs of the crew’s uniforms and weaponry, artwork of key locations and breathtaking alien art imagery in amazing detail." For anyone looking to delve even deeper into the further adventures of Michael Fassbender's David and his encounter with the crew of the Covenant, this book is obviously for you.

Titan and 20th Century Fox have provided IGN with a few exclusive images from the book, including concept art of the Engineer's "cathedral," set photography of an experiment in David’s lab, a miniature Xenomorph, and more. Check out all the images in the slideshow below, but beware of spoilers...
