Next Arms Global Testpunch Packs New Modes

Throw down with the basketball mini-game.

The Arms timed demo will return this weekend on Nintendo Switch, this time packing basketball and skill-shot modes.

The mini-games will rotate in and out of play like volleyball did this past weekend for the Arms Global Testpunch. The online fighting throws people into different matches, whether it's a 1-vs.-1 face-off or 2-vs.-2 bout. Basketball and skill-shot (essentially precision target-hitting) will join the fray this weekend, according to the Arms Japan Twitter account.

Timings for each region will be announced on Nintendo's respective regional Twitter accounts.

Nintendo also noted that Ninjara was the most popular Arms fighter for the first weekend of the beta period. Second place went to Min Min, meaning the cover stars of Spring Man and Ribbon Girl didn't make the cut.

We here at IGN got our hands on Arms earlier this month, checking out the motion controls and combat system.
