South Park: The Fractured But Whole New Release Date Announced

Ubisoft's South Park sequel will be released this fall.

Following several delays, South Park: The Fractured But Whole will now be released on October 17 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, Ubisoft announced.

After confirming The Fractured But Whole would still release within Ubisoft's next fiscal year, the publisher revealed release plans today. The game will be available in four editions: Standard, Gold, Steelbook Gold and Collector’s editions.

The Gold editions  come with the game, its season pass, a steelbook case, three additional South Park postcards, and extra in-game costume perks. The Collector's Edition also includes a six-inch figure of The Coon.

A special edition  featuring a remote controlled The Coon Mobile is also still available for $190 from Amazon, after its announcement last year.

The Fractured But Whole's Collector's Gold Edition

Those who preorder The Fractured But Whole will receive South Park: The Stick of Truth for free and an exclusive in-game assistant, Towelie. That free The Stick of Truth offer will be available until January 1, 2018, and preordering via select retailers will allow players to download and play The Stick of Truth immediately.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole was originally scheduled to release on December 6, 2016. However, the game was delayed to the first quarter of 2017 back in September, and then was pushed back once again to Ubisoft's next fiscal year, which runs from April 1, 2017 until March 31, 2018.

There are currently no plans to bring South Park: The Fractured But Whole to the Nintendo Switch. While you wait for the game's release, check out IGN's extended E3 2016 preview of the RPG.
