Beyond Good & Evil 2 won't be at E3 2017 but will likely appear sometime later this year, if recent comments from series creator Michel Ancel are any indication.
When asked on Instagram if footage of the game might be shown at E3, Ancel replied, "Mhhh, not sure that E3 would be the best place to showcase BG&E2 but we're working on the game so sometime this year, you should hear about it!"
A new Beyond Good & Evil game has been in the works for quite some time. Word of the project resurfaced last year when Ancel posted several images of concept art. Shortly thereafter, he said the game entered pre-production and Ubisoft officially confirmed that the title is in development at its Montpellier studio.
While it's unclear whether this new game will be a sequel, prequel or reboot of the 2003 original, Ancel hinted that the title will feature "planet exploration" and "space travel."
