HBO has renewed a pair of its comedies, Veep and Silicon Valley, but one of their stars won't be returning.
Veep will return for a seventh season and Silicon Valley for a fifth in 2018, HBO announced today, but Silicon Valley star T.J. Miller won't be back, with the show's current fourth season set to be his last.

HBO confirmed the news of Miller's departure in a statement to Vulture, saying "The producers of Silicon Valley and T.J. Miller have mutually agreed that T.J. will not return for season 5. In Erlich Bachman, T.J. has brought to life an unforgettable character, and while his presence on the show will be missed, we appreciate his contribution and look forward to future collaborations."
No reasons were given for Miller's departure, though the star has a number of projects in the works for the coming years, including Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One adaptation and Deadpool 2.
T.J. Miller's next upcoming movie is The Emoji Movie, which opens in theaters on July 28. Miller recently spoke to IGN on why Deadpool 2 will be just as funny as the original.
Silicon Valley and Veep will conclude their current seasons on June 25. Later this summer, HBO will see the return of Game of Thrones, for which the network recently debuted an official first trailer. Check out all of the secrets hidden in the Game of Thrones trailer for more.
