New Harvest Moon Announced for Switch, PC and PS4

Celebrating the series' 20th anniversary.

Natsume and Rising Star Games have announced a new entry in the Harvest Moon franchise that will release for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Titled Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, the new game will have a Super Nintendo-style and "encompass twenty years of spirit that has made the franchise what it is today."

"Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will set itself apart from other Harvest Moon titles with its depth, including a robust story and clear-cut goals," Natsume president and CEO Hiro Maekawa said. "We set out to create a SNES-style nostalgic game with deep and meaningful characters and events, and we are excited to have our fans play it at E3 and tell us what they think!"

The game puts you in the shoes of a character whose ship is struck by a monsoon during a voyage. After washing up on a small harbor town that was struck by the storm, it will be up to you to help rebuild the town and revive its lighthouse by tending livestock, gathering materials, growing crops, and more.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will be playable at Natsume's E3 booth on both Nintendo Switch and PC.

In celebration of the series 20th anniversary this year, Natsume will re-release Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition and Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland for the PlayStation 4, as well as Harvest Moon 64 for Wii U. Light of Hope isn't the only new entry in Natsume's farming simulator series, as last year brought with it the release of Harvest Moon: Skytree Village for Nintendo 3DS.
