Simon Kinberg and Aditya Sood are producing the film adaptation. The project has yet to find director and a release date has not yet been announced.
Artemis tells the story of Jazz, a directionless woman in her twenties who longs for life beyond Artemis, the Moon's only city. With a poor salary and massive debts to pay, Jazz decides to pull off the "perfect score," which lands her in the middle of a conspiracy for control of Artemis itself.
Weir's 2011 novel, The Martian, was also turned into a movie. For our thoughts on the 2015 film adaptation, read IGN's The Martian review.
