Ahead of its debut later this year, CBS has released the first photo from Star Trek: Discovery.
The photo, which provides an early look at Sonequa Martin-Green as First Officer Michael Burnham and Michelle Yeoh as Captain Philippa Georgiou, was revealed in a post on the show's official Twitter account. See it below:
In addition to Yeoh and Martin-Green, the cast of Star Trek: Discovery includes Anthony Rapp, Shazad Latif, Mary Chieffo, Chris Obi and James Frain. Earlier this year we learned Maulik Pancholy, Sam Vartholomeos and Terry Serpico will all appear in the series as well and star as Starfleet officers. Additionally, Jason Isaacs, known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, will star as the captain of the Starship Discovery, Captain Lorca.

After multiple delays, CBS has yet to set a premiere date for Star Trek: Discovery, with the series scheduled to debut sometime late summer or early fall in the United States (and late winter or early spring in Australia).
When the series does premiere, its first episode will debut on CBS in the U.S. before the rest of the show is released on CBS All Access and other streaming services around the world.
