Popular battle royale-style game The Culling is heading to Xbox One's Game Preview program on June 2, developer Xaviant announced.
The Culling has been out for PC since last year and is still in Early Access on Steam. Pricing for the full Xbox release is not yet known, however, the PC version costs $25. According to Xaviant, The Culling captures "the spirit of the battle royale experience" and is inspired by films like The Hunger Games and Battle Royale.
Players are dropped into a deadly game show where contestants must trap, hunt, scavenge, and ultimately murder each other in a span of 25 minutes with no respawns. Players have a variety of weapons at their disposal, including chainsaws, sledgehammers, and steel punji sticks.
The game also features offline training matches and survival modes, over a thousand unlockable customization items, a crafting system, and a Duos mode where you can team up with a friend.
