Devolver Digital and Sloclap's upcoming real-time combat game Absolver comes to PS4 and PC August 29.
The release date news was accompanied by a new combat trailer, giving a deep-dive into Absolver's combat system.
There are three different combat styles to choose from at the beginning of the game, each with their own special strengths and abilities: Kahlt Method, Forsaken, and Windfall.
The trailer also goes into detail about Absolver's Combat Deck, "the inventory of attacks that players can use while fighting." Decks are built of "four stances," with different attacks available with each stance.
New moves can be learned in combat, or by finding a "mentor to spar and learn from."
Absolver is the first game from developer Sloclap, an indie developer made up of developers who previously worked at Ubisoft Paris on games like Ghost Recon and Watch Dogs.
