Sony first announced that Insomniac Games was working on a Spider-Man game in June 2016. It’s scheduled to release in 2018 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

It was during Sony’s E3 2016 press conference that we first heard about the Ratchet & Clank developer Insomniac making Spider-Man. The announcement came in the form of a teaser trailer you can watch above.
While the trailer might look like CG, it was actually made in-engine and powered by a standard PS4.
Spider-Man skipped PSX in 2016, but returned to public view at E3 2017.
At E3 2017, Sony gave us a good deal of new information about Spider-Man. For starters, it will launch in 2018 and will feature Miles Morales in addition to Peter Parker. We we were also treated to a good chunk of all-new gameplay:
