PlayStation Plus July Free Games Revealed

Until Dawn, Game of Thrones, and more.

July's list of PlayStation Plus free games has been revealed, with Supermassive Games' Until Dawn and Telltale Games' Game of Thrones: Season 1 leading off the list.

Check out the full slate of free games that will be made available to PS Plus subscribers for the month of July, as well as what platforms they'll be available on:

In our IGN review of Until Dawn, we said "At its best, Until Dawn is a gleefully cheesy homage to horror movies, set in a world built by a developer that clearly adores the genre." The choice-based horror game later received a PlayStation VR spinoff, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, while Supermassive's next games, Hidden Agenda and The Inpatient, were revealed during E3 2017. The Inpatient is actually a prequel to Until Dawn, set 60 years prior to the events of that game.

Telltale's Game of Thrones series allowed players to take on the roles of several members of House Forrester in the fight to protect their house. The series, which occurs in the same world as HBO's hit drama, included cameos from members of that show's cast, such as Emilia Clarke and Peter Dinklage. For more on the series, check out IGN's reviews of all six episodes from season 1.

IGN gave Darkstalkers Resurrection an 8.4, saying the collection of Darkstalkers 3 and Night Warriors "serves them faithfully and backs them up with an impressively executed online experience."

IGN's review of Tokyo Jungle gave the game an 8 when it released in 2012, saying the game, which allows players to roam the streets of Tokyo as an animal of their choice, is "bizarre, different and even a little bit whacky, but it’s also a lot of fun."

The platformer Element4l sees players control four elements bound together, with only nature and the sun preventing them from their goal of shaping life. And the bullet hell game Don't Die, Mr. Robot tasks players with collecting exploding fruit, which set off chain reactions, to amass the highest scores in each level.

There are still a few days to grab June's free PS Plus games, which include Killing Floor 2 and Life Is Strange. You can also check out how June's PS Plus stacks up against Games With Gold's offerings using our Comparison Guide.
