Life Is Strange: Before the Storm Details, Release Date Announced

Square Enix and Dontnod's episodic series returns.

Life Is Strange: Before the Storm's first episode of three is coming on August 31.

Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment officially revealed the first Life Is Strange: Before the Storm details on Microsoft's stage at E3 2017.

Dontnod previously confirmed earlier this year that development on the sequel had begun, though the developer said the game wouldn't be making an appearance at E3. Images of a Life Is Strange prequel also reportedly leaked earlier this month that is supposedly being made by developer Deck Nine in addition to the sequel.

Last year, Square Enix announced it would develop a live-action Life Is Strange TV show for digital streaming services in partnership with Legendary Entertainment. Plot details on the potential series have not yet been revealed.

Last year, the first episode of Life Is Strange, Chrysalis, was made available for free indefinitely, while the entire series is currently available for free as a PlayStation Plus subscriber free game in June.
