UPDATE: Blizzard has released yet another Overwatch teaser image on Twitter, along with the following text "Genius grant recipient and Numbani local Efi Oladele posts curious image on her holovid channel, declaring: 'Time to get to work!'"
A new teaser hinting at who will presumably be the next playable hero to join the Overwatch roster has been revealed.
In a post on Twitter, the official Overwatch account shared the following image, along with the message: "[BREAKING] OR15 defense units destroyed in confrontation with unidentified assailant at Numbani airport. No civilian casualties reported."
Just a few days ago, Blizzard introduced fans to Efi Oladele, an 11-year-old inventor who received a grant from the Adawe Foundation for her "impressive achievements in robotics and artificial intelligence."
Interestingly enough, in the character "interview" with Oladele that was released earlier this week, she directly mentions OR15s—the very same units shown in the new teaser—saying, "I want to create things that make our lives better. And someday, my dream is to build something that can keep us safe, like the new OR15s! I think that would be great."
While some suspect either Oladele or one of her robotic creations will be Overwatch's next character, we'll have to wait for an official announcement before we know definitively who will be the next hero to join the critically acclaimed shooter, which just won Game of the Year at the 2017 DICE Awards.
