Check out our picks, then head to the comments to let us know what you’ll be buying this week!

Batman: White Knight #1 - $3.99
STL060572

Writer & Artist Sean Gordon Murphy (DC Comics)

What if Batman was the bad guy and the Joker was Gotham’s White Knight in shining armor? Writer/artist Sean Gordon Murphy is taking that idea and spinning it into an Elseworlds, seven-issue mini-series. Some of DC’s greatest stories were one-off ideas set outside of continuity - Superman: Red Son, Batman: The Killing Joke, Kingdom Come - and having already the first issue, we can say that White Knight has the potential to join their ranks.

Batman #32 - $2.99
STL060400

Writer Tom King | Artist Mikel Janin (DC Comics)

We are featuring this Batman comic because it’s not only the finale of the War of Jokes and Riddles that will reveal Batman’s darkest secret but, after months of waiting, we’ll get to hear Catwoman’s answer to Batman’s marriage proposal. This storyline has Instant Classic written all over it. That is, if they stick the landing. Wednesday can’t come soon enough.

Of course, if you don’t want to wait, DC revealed the ending early. Unfortunately, the days just before a comic’s release are the most common time for spoilers to leak, so publishers often choose to spoil it on their own terms. We’d recommend you wait - it’s only two more days! - but we don’t blame you if you’d rather take a peek at the outcome now.

Harley & Ivy Meet Betty & Veronica #1 - $3.99
STL060585

Writers Paul Dini, Marc Andreyko | Artist Laura Braga | Cover Artist Amanda Conner (DC Comics)

DC Comics has been killing it when it comes to delivering fun crossovers between its characters and other huge franchises, and they’re continuing the trend with the six-issue mini-series Harley & Ivy Meet Betty & Veronica. This meet cute/crazy is so obvious we’re actually surprised it’s never been done before. When Riverdale decides to clear some land to build a new school, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn kidnap the wealthy Veronica Lodge and her best friend Betty Cooper in order to protect the plant life that’ll be wiped out during construction. With Harley Quinn co-creator Paul Dini writing alongside Wonder Woman ‘77’s Marc Andreyko and DC Bombshells’ Laura Braga on art, this sounds just crazy enough to work.

Extremity #7 - $3.99
STL060740

Writer & Artist Daniel Warren Johnson (Image Comics)

One of our favorite new comics of 2017 is back with a new storyline. Daniel Warren Johnson’s tale set in a post-apocalyptic world is full of face-melting visuals, high-octane action, and emotionally stirring character moments. If you’re not sold by that endorsement alone, then check out the art commissions Johnson posts on his Twitter profile @danielwarrenart because the dude makes everything look ten times more badass than it has any right to be.

Keep reading for X-Men, Venom and more.
