Nintendo Closes Out Miiverse with One Final Community

One final hurrah.

Nintendo has launched one final Miiverse community where users can share their memories of the service before its closure next month.

The community, called "Everybody's Message Community," is now live. According to a Miiverse announcement from Nintendo, the community will remain open until October 11.

Nintendo has opted to make this a global community. As such, only hand-drawn posts can be submitted, and you can't leave comments on anyone else's posts. Additionally, Nintendo plans to make a collage using some of the posts that are submitted.

Miiverse will come to an end on November 7 at 10pm PT (November 8 at 1am ET/6am UK/5pm AET). Nintendo's social service made its debut on the Wii U in 2012, before expanding to the 3DS family of systems the following year. The closure of Miiverse will affect a number of games, significantly impacting Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Kart 8, Pushmo World, and several other titles.
