Voltron: David Hayter Scripting Live-Action Movie

Universal inherited the project after purchasing DreamWorks Animation.

Universal Pictures is working on a live-action version of Voltron, with former Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter scripting the film.

Deadline reports Universal inherited the Voltron movie project after purchasing DreamWorks Animation earlier this year.

Hayter, who's also known for writing X2: X-Men United and Watchmen, is currently developing a draft of the script.

The franchise is currently on the small screen with Voltron: The Legendary Defenders. Developed at DreamWorks Animation, the second season of the animated series premieres January 20 on Netflix.

As for the live-action film, Universal reportedly is waiting on the script before deciding how to proceed.
