Amazon Casts Title Role for The Man in the High Castle


The "mysterious figure" now has a familiar face.

Spoilers: If you don't want to see the man in the high castle, turn back now.

Stephen Root has been cast in the title role for The Man in the High Castle, Amazon Studios has announced.

Root, whose prior work includes roles in Selma, Office Space and Boardwalk Empire, will star as the "mysterious figure tied to the Resistance movement who collects the enigmatic films that seem to depict alternate versions of reality."

Root joins a cast that includes Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Bella Heathcote, Callum Keith Rennie, Luke Kleintank, DJ Qualls, Joel de la Fuente, Brennan Brown, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Rufus Sewell.

The Man in the High Castle: Season 2 debuts on Friday, December 16.
