Nintendo's upcoming mobile game Super Mario Run is being made with Unity.
The company behind the multiplatform game engine shared the news in a post on Twitter, saying, "We are thrilled that the legendary creators Nintendo America are bringing Mario to mobile for the first time, and it's made with Unity."
In addition to Super Mario Run, another Nintendo-related mobile game (though not Nintendo made) was created using Unity: Pokemon Go.
Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima has high expectations for Super Mario Run, with intentions to make the game as popular as Niantic Labs' aforementioned creature-collecting mobile phenomenon.
