Diablo III may soon be getting a new playable character class, if an allegedly leaked piece of Necromancer concept art is any indication.
The art (via Eurogamer) was reportedly spotted on Blizzard's official gear store, the same place Overwatch art for Sombra was discovered earlier today.
The image was pulled before we could verify it for ourselves, so take this leak with a grain of salt until Blizzard makes an official announcement. It's also important to note that there's no specific indication that the art, which bears the signature of Blizzard art director John Mueller, is related to Diablo.
That said, the original picture's URL reportedly said "Necromancer," a class that was playable in Diablo II but wasn't included in Diablo III, with the Witch Doctor taking its place. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the franchise, and with BlizzCon kicking off later this week, the studio may be gearing up for a big announcement.
While there's been rumblings that a fourth Diablo game may be horizon, Necromancers could very well be added to the still-relevant Diablo III in a new expansion. Either way, be sure to stay tuned to IGN later this week for all the big news coming out of BlizzCon 2016.
