A new animated series based on the popular online game Happy Wheels has been announced. It will be released on November 15.
Machinima (Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn) is behind the the nine-episode series, which is being produced by BMP Digital, the digital division of Bunim/Murray Productions. In addition to featuring the dark humor and gore from Jim Bonacci's game, Happy Wheels: The Series will have a number of recognizable characters, including Lawnmower Man, Wheelchair Guy and Irresponsible Dad.
The series' voice cast was also revealed, and features a number of popular web personalities, including Jordan Maron (CaptainSparklez), Lance Stewart (Lance210), Anna Brisbin (Brizzy Voices), Ryan McNulty (xRPMx13), Shanna Malcolm (HeyYoShanna), Tyler Pappas (LogDotZip), Jerome Aceti, Ricky Hayberg, Eliot Dewberry and Tay Zonday.
Happy Wheels: The Series centers around the "the most dangerous community on Earth," where people fall victim to brutal traps and hazards, and no one takes notice. Five members of the safety awareness committee take it upon themselves to try to cut down on the atrocities that plague the town, though their efforts often prove futile.
