Jon Favreau is reportedly appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming as his Iron Man character, Happy Hogan.
Variety reports that Favreau, who directed the original Iron Man and Iron Man 2, also cameoed as Tony Stark's driver Happy. Favreau also appeared in the third Iron Man film, directed by Shane Black.
Sony and Marvel did not offer comment to Variety on the reported casting.
Iron Man himself, Tony Stark, is also set to appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and the film's director Jon Watts spoke to IGN during Comic-Con 2016 about bringing Stark into the film.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently filming, and recent reports have suggested that Zendaya is playing a very familiar role in the film. Stan Lee recently weighed in on the rumored casting as well.
Marvel's Kevin Feige also spoke recently about how Spider-Man and its potential sequels could take a Harry Potter-like approaching to telling Peter Parker's story.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
