It's pretty amazing how quickly laptops have progressed from expensive, but ultimately underpowered, to the modern versions. Higher-end laptops have desktop-grade GPUs in them, so the tradeoff between power and portability is smaller and smaller. Prices, too, are at a point now where buying a laptop as a matter of convenience can land you a good machine at a great price.
If the word "outlet" scares you, it shouldn't in this case. Dell and Alienware Outlet laptops get the same 1-year warranty you would get as buying new. Dell Outlet laptops are discounted about 20% off, but there is always a set of active coupon codes that discount specific models by up to an additional 20% off. These codes rotate every few days so check back.
