After months of rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S9 was officially announced yesterday. Pre-orders go up March 2. Get the full scoop on Samsung's latest flagship, as well as where to order your Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus:
The S9 and S9 Plus use the latest Snapdragon 845 processor with 4GB of RAM in the S9 and 6 in the S9 Plus. Both come with 64GB of storage and support for MicroSD cards and are dust and water resistant.
The biggest selling point on the S9 is its camera. The aperture inside the lens is mechanically adjustable, going from a f/2.4 for most situations and opening up to an f/1.5 for low-light. If none of that makes any sense, just know that both of those things are good.
There's a single lens on the S9's 12-megapixel camera, and two lenses on the S9 Plus. The new camera app has a feature called AR Emoji that's very similar to the Animoji feature on the iPhone X, replacing aliens, animals, and turd-piles with cartoon humans.
Aesthetically, the S9 is incredibly similar to last year's S8, but just different enough you won't be able to swap out your old case for your new phone.
Right now, these links lead to placeholder pages put into place by retailers and Samsung itself. When pre-orders go live on March 2, we'll update the links so you can get your hands on this ultra slick new Android smartphone.
Check back on March 2 when these links go live to grab your S9 or S9 Plus pre-orders. The phone comes out March 16.
