Stranger Things: The Game Released For Free

An Eggo Collect-athon!

A Stranger Things game has launched on the App Store & Google Play Store.

The game, which is free of charge, and includes no microtransactions, has been released ahead of the launch of Stranger Things Season 2 on October 27.

The game has a visual style reminiscent of 80's action adventure titles, complete with pixel art and a chiptune soundtrack.

You can play as many of the lovable characters from the show including Hopper, Nancy and the boys, who all have unique abilities for solving puzzles.

Many of the locations from the show return in the game including Mirkwood Forest, Hawkins Lab, and the Upside-Down.

Collectibles also litter the streets of Hawkins, and according to the official blurb, they'll unlock secret content...

"Completionist?" reads the game's App Store description. "Collect all the Eggos and Gnomes. Complete the full VHS library. Check off all the achievements. Who knows what secret characters or exclusive, never-before-seen-footage- of-Season-2 they might unlock ..."

Two difficulties feature in the mobile game, Normal and Classic, for those who enjoy the unforgiving difficulty of old-school titles.

The game will also receive a mysterious update this October 27 to coincide with the Season 2 debut.

It was recently revealed that Stranger Things will end after four supernatural seasons.
