SNES Classic Sold Out "In Minutes" at GameStop

Super Nintendo, excellent sales.

The SNES Classic was only released three days ago, but it seems that demand has been pretty intense, with GameStop reporting that their entire supply sold out "within minutes" - but the retailer assures customers that fresh stock will be arriving "very soon".

As reported by Siliconera, GameStop's Senior Vice President of Merchandising Bob Puzon has congratulated Nintendo for the feat and reiterated his assurance that fresh stock is on the way for both the company's GameStop and ThinkGeek outlets.

“Nintendo has done it again!", Puzon said. "Customer demand for the SNES Classic was just like we expected. We sold out of our SNES Classic inventory within minutes in both our GameStop and ThinkGeek retail channels.

"But customers shouldn’t worry. We’re getting more very soon. Once we do, our customers will be the first to know!”
