Out-This-WeekMIDDLEEARTH
Middle-earth: Shadow of War

Release Date: Tuesday, October 10, 2017

  • See it on Amazon for $59.96 (PS4, Xbox One or PC)

From our Review: Like Shadow of Mordor before it, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is so much more than just another open-world action game with Batman’s combat. Its amazing Nemesis system makes almost every encounter with a named enemy a memorable battle, and the new fortress sieges give it legs beyond the campaign through asynchronous multiplayer.

Baby Driver

Release Date: Tuesday, October 10, 2017

  • See it on Amazon for $19.96 (Blu-ray)

From our Review: The first scene in Baby Driver is its best. A car pulls up outside a bank, and three thieves get out to begin a bank heist. The driver is left behind, earbuds in and iPod on, as the song blaring through his headphones syncs up to the choreography of the heist and the bank robbers' subsequent getaway. The car chase and shoot out are all timed to the music the driver, Baby (Ansel Elgort), is listening to. It's a delight to behold, all style that is uniquely director Edgar Wright's, and sets the stage for the action-musical heist flick that follows.

Release Date: Tuesday, October 10, 2017

  • See it on Amazon for $22.99 (Blu-ray)

From our Review: If you think The House is going to be something radically new from Will Ferrell, you’re going to disappointed. But, if you like, or even love, the likes of Step Brothers or Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby, The Others Guys or Old School, then you’ll probably lap this up. This isn’t classic Ferrell but it’s as close to it as we’ve been for a while and it is damn good fun.
