The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones will begin filming very soon, according to Davos Seaworth actor Liam Cunningham.
"Let me tell you what I know. Yesterday something quite monumental happened. I got the scripts for the last season. Kind of," Cunningham said during the panel for Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams today at New York Comic-Con.
"Tomorrow I fly back to Ireland and the first table reading is on Sunday," he added. "The second table reading is on Monday. Then we rehearse and then start shooting the week after."
Season 8 of Game of Thrones will span a total of six episodes. Check out the lineup of talented directors who will helm the final season.
