Fantastic Beasts 2 Adds Historical Figure Nicolas Flamel

The sequel will be released on November 18, 2018.

A few familiar characters from Harry Potter will be featured in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts sequel.

As detailed by Pottermore, the famous alchemist Nicolas Flamel, who was first mentioned in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and discovered the Elixir of Life, will appear in Fantastic Beasts 2. The character will be portrayed by Brontis Jodorowsky.

Meanwhile, Derek Riddell will play Torquil Travers while Poppy Corby-Tuech will portray Rosier. Both characters will infamously go on to become Death Eaters who served Lord Voldemort.

The rest of the new cast includes Wolf Roth as Spielman, Victoria Yeates as Bunty, Cornell S John as Arnold Guzman, and Jessica Williams, who has an unknown role in the film.

Fantastic Beasts 2's cast will also include Jude Law as a younger iteration of Albus Dumbledore, as well as Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald. The central cast of Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski are all returning for the sequel.

Additionally, Newt's brother Theseus will show up in the sequel and will be played by Callum Turner. Zoë Kravitz also returns as Leta Lestrange, a mysterious figure from Newt's past.

The Fantastic Beasts sequel, which is set in Paris and will reportedly "feel so different from" the first film, will be released in theaters on November 18, 2018.
