Bob's Burgers Movie in Development

The animated comedy comes to the big screen in 2020.

A Bob's Burgers movie is currently in the works at Fox, with a targeted release date of July 17, 2020.

As reported by Variety, series creator Loren Bouchard says the film "has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had," while also appealing to those who are unfamiliar with the show.

Bouchard added, "We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds and the ever-so-slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob’s — but most of all it has to take our characters on an epic adventure."

The Emmy-winning animated series follows the Belcher family—Bob, Linda, Tina, Gene, and Louise—as they run their ever-struggling restaurant, Bob's Burgers.
