The BioShock series hit the 10th anniversary mark this year, and 2K Games is honoring the franchise milestone with a return to Rapture's roots in a new collector's edition.
Available on November 14, the BioShock: 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition comes with an 11-inch statue featuring a Big Daddy and Little Sister statue. Check it out in the gallery below or the unboxing video above.
The collector's edition comes with the stature, which features lights, audios, and a rotating Big Daddy drill arm, as well as a copy of BioShock: The Collection. The compilation, which IGN reviewed when it released last year, collects BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite, as well as all single-player DLC for all three games. All three games are presented in 1080p with 60 frames-per-second frame rate. A director's commentary video series, "Imagining BioShock," is also included as an unlockable set of videos.
Announced earlier this year, the collector's edition also comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity, and will be available on November 14 for both the PS4 and Xbox One. Costing $199.99, the edition is only available via GameStop and the 2K Store.
BioShock first released 10 years ago today, on August 21, 2007. At the time, IGN's BioShock review called it "a monolithic example of the convergence of entertaining gameplay and an irresistibly sinister, engrossing storyline that encompasses a host of multifaceted characters."
The most recent entry in the franchise, BioShock Infinite, was released in 2013. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has since said BioShock is "unquestionably a permanent franchise," implying we likely haven't seen the last of the series.
