The Pokemon Sun and Moon official website says: Except for a few scenes, time in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon is tied to the actual time. However, it's also noted that Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon will occur 12 hours apart.
Pokemon Sun will run on the Nintendo 3DS's set time, but Pokemon Moon's time is shifted by 12 hours, probably to make play time happen mostly during the night.
Some of the Totem Pokemon in Pokemon Sun and Moon will change depending on the version. For example, the Totem Pokemon encountered in Verdant Cavern on Melemele Island will be Gumshoos in Pokemon Sun, but the nocturnal Alolan Raticate in Pokemon Moon.
