The theme for American Horror Story's sixth season may have just been revealed.
FX CEO John Landgraf and showrunner Ryan Murphy have been purposefully vague on details around season 6 of its horror anthology series, releasing a a number of different promos in order to keep the audience guessing. Landgraf said there have been "many more trailers than you've actually seen for hypothetical seasons of American Horror Story ... One of them is accurate, and the others are misdirects."
However, the media might have given away its title. Fans noticed early this week that Rotten Tomatoes had listed the season as American Horror Story: The Mist (since redacted), while a Reddit user also pointed out that it was listed as American Horror Story: The Mist in TV Guide.
Of all the short promos, this suggests this one was the most accurate, depicting a creature crawling along the railroad tracks in - you got it - some mist.
American Horror Story: Season 6 premieres Wednesday, September 14th, with Lady Gaga returning to star.
