The first gameplay footage of Metal Gear Survive will be broadcast live from Tokyo Game Show this Saturday, September 17.
Konami's Youtube channel will show off a demo that "will include brand new information about the upcoming title" from 4.15 JST on the day (that's 12.15am PT / 3.15am ET / 8.15am BST / 5.15pm AEST).
Announced at Gamescom, Metal Gear Survive is Konami's first game in the Metal Gear franchise following the seemingly acrimonious departure of series creator Hideo Kojima.
Survive is a 4-player co-op game that will utilise familiar systems to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but is set in an alternate universe following the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. It will also not be a full-price game.
While the specifics are unclear, Konami's latest press release reveals that it is being "developed by members from the original MGSV:TPP production team."
Stick with us on the day for all the information - we'll have people both Konami's booth to see the footage first-hand, and have the livestream on-site for you to watch.
