Feast your eyes on a closer look at the Switch’s new steering wheel accessory.
The Joy-Con steering wheel comes in a double pack – one for each controller – and will retail for around £13.99 in the UK and $14.99 in the US.
The slightly revamped steering wheel works in a similar fashion to that of its Wii U counterpart. Namely, you place a Joy-Con at the centre of the wheel to allow for motion-controlled racing.
While we’re on the subject of Switch racing, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe comes with a Smart Steering feature designed to make controlling cars easier for newcomers.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe comes with all the Wii U DLC content straight out the box as well as new characters – Inking Girl and Inkling Boy, King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr. Plus, the game’s Battle Mode has been added to to include Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast. There’s also new courses, including Urchin Underpass, Battle Stadium, and retro-returns Luigi’s Mansion and the SNES’ Battle Course 1.
There’s another big change coming, too. Players in Deluxe will be able to carry two items at once. Here’s hoping that doesn’t mean one player can hold two blue shells at once, because THAT WOULD BE JUST AWFUL!
