This year marks the 20th anniversary of the original Final Fantasy VII, which released for PlayStation in 1997. Tetsuya Nomura, who's directing both the remake and Kingdom Hearts III, recently shared an update on the status of both games, saying they "still have a way to go" before either is ready for launch.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is in development for PlayStation 4. The game will release in multiple parts, with each "episode" being the size of a full game.
