Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's Diego Luna will reportedly star in Universal’s upcoming Scarface reboot.
According to Variety, the actor who played Cassian Andor in last year's Star Wars film, has joined the project, which no longer has a director. Antoine Fuqua has reportedly left the reboot in order to get started on a sequel to The Equalizer for Sony and Denzel Washington.

The director's departure allegedly won't affect production, as Universal is already seeking out a new director with plans to begin work on this film this spring. Fuqua was said to be very interested in helming the Scarface remake, but simply couldn't make it work with Universal thanks to his investment in The Equalizer.
The script for the upcoming Scarface reboot has been rewritten multiple times, with prior involvement from Paul Attanasio, David Ayer, and Jonathan Herman (Straight Outta Compton). Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire) wrote the latest draft.
