Check out our picks, then head to the comments to let us know what you’ll be buying this week!

Darth Maul #1 - $4.99
STL032819 br

Writer Cullen Bunn | Artist Luke Ross | Cover Artist Rod Reis (Marvel Comics)

Darth Maul, the undisputable shining point of the Star Wars prequels, is getting his own five-issue mini-series. Yes, the character was brought back in the Clone Wars animated TV show and is currently menacing the heroes of Star Wars Rebels, but this tale takes place back before Phantom Menace when he was in his prime (i.e., he had his legs intact) training with Darth Sidious to take on the Jedi.

But this time it’s personal. This will be a tale of revenge, giving us some insight into everyone’s favorite grimacing Sith demon with the double-bladed lightsaber.

Writer Cullen Bunn is known for taking iconic villains and anti-heroes (Magneto, Sinestro, Deadpool, Lobo, and more) and fleshing them out while still capturing what makes them evil, while Luke Ross handled the Star Wars: The Force Awakens adaption, so this definitely feels like a creative team fit for the job.

The Walking Dead #163 - $0.25
STL033366

Writer Robert Kirkman | Artists Charlie Adlard, Stefano Gaudiano, Cliff Rathburn | Cover Artists Charlie Adlard, Dave Stewart (Image Comics)

You read that right: this issue of The Walking Dead costs only a quarter! In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Image Comics, the publisher is giving fans a treat by offering a sharp discount on its best-selling series.

If you’re not caught up on the series, then know that the Whisper War just ended and this issue starts a new storyline titled “Conquered.” Regardless of where you're at with the series, this is a hard deal to pass up.

Paper Girls #11 - $2.99
STL033375

Writer Brian K. Vaughan | Artist Cliff Chiang (Image Comics)

Paper Girls is kicking off a brand new storyline, as well. It’s hard to describe what this series is about without spoiling what makes it so great, but suffice to say that it’s a must-read. It’s both a coming-of-age story about a group of young paper girls and a time-bending, time-bending sci-fi thriller. It’ll intrigue and wow you with its plot one moment and tug on your heartstrings the next. If you’re looking for the comic book version of Lost, this is as close as you’re likely to get.

Absolute Wonder Woman Hardcover, Vol. 1 - $125
STL020633

Writer Brian Azzarello | Artists Cliff Chiang, Tony Akins, Dan Green, Kano | Cover Artist Cliff Chiang (DC Comics)

With Wonder Woman’s movie hitting this year, DC Comics is releasing all sorts of Wonder Woman material. This week sees the Absolute Wonder Woman Hardcover, Vol. 1 that collects the first half of Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang’s acclaimed New 52 run (Issues #1-18 and #0, specifically).

Azzarello and Chiang, along with artists Tony Akins and Goran Sudzuka, rebuilt Wonder Woman’s mythology and character from the ground up. Their run told an enthralling and exciting story without interruptions from pesky tie-ins or events, not to mention it earned a bit of controversy along the way. They approached this comic as a horror story, playing up the grisly nature of the Greek gods and making the story read less like a superhero comic and more like Game of Thrones meets The Sopranos.

If you're balking at the $125 price tag, then know that Absolute Editions are oversized hardcover books that come with a dustjacket, slipcase and cloth bookmark. You could just go buy these same Wonder Woman stories in Trade Paperback format for a fraction of the price (and we wouldn't blame you if you did), so this version is for the fan who likes the prestige of having a big handsome collection on their bookshelf.

Keep reading for Batman, Bullseye and more!
