The Soul of Cinder is the last of the Bosses you will face in Dark Souls 3.
The Soul of Cinder is located in the Kiln of the First Flame, and can only be reached once all 4 Lords of Cinder have been defeated, and the flame is linked at the Firelink Shrine Bonfire.
The Lord of Cinder is not resistant to any type of attack.
How to Beat the Soul of CInder Video
This fight is unlike any you'll have done previously. The Lord of Cinder is able to access nearly all the same spells, skills and abilities you can. As a melee user, this means you will be dealing with a lot of various attacks based on the shape of his sword. Yes, you read that right, he can change the shape of his weapon, changing from a standard longsword into other weapon types.
Phase one of the fight will be mostly a straight up sword fight, block and dodge under his attacks. Keep pummeling him, and you'll get into Phase Two quickly.
During Phase Two, his abilities will get cranked up a notch. He will cast spells anytime you back away from him, making it tough to catch a break and heal. There is no cover either, so the only way to get through Phase Two is with proper timing, which can take time to learn.
If you find yourself struggling, remember that this is the end. Go back to Lothric Castle or other areas and get a few levels. A few more points into health, or damage, might just be the edge you need to power through!
As a Mage, this fight will be tough. During phase one, you will need to be constantly moving backwards, out of reach of the boss. It's a tough feat though, as he is very aggressive and will chase after you. Due to the constant pressure you will face, it's not a bad idea to bring a basic sword, enchanted to utilize your best stat. This will at least give you some options during those moments the boss won't back down.
During Phase Two, you will catch the tiniest of breaks. During this phase he will lean far more heavily on spells, so as long as you can dodge his various incoming spells, you'll be able to keep distance between you two far easier.
Of course, this doesn't make the fight easier, but at least more manageable. Having that distance between you two allows you more time to think, react and hopefully deal damage. Keep in mind though, that he does have ways to close the gap, so don't expect him to stay back forever!
