Nintendo Switch online services were explained during Nintendo's Live Event.
The online service will be available for free after launch, and then will switch to a paid service in Q3 of 2017.
The service will allow you to play online matches, find and add friends, and the usual functionality you'd expect from a console in 2017.
Price and further details haven't been released at the time of this writing.
