The Deadpool sequel will feature a few returning characters from the first film.
Deadpool 2 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick confirmed to Collider that both Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) and Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) will be returning to annoy and help Deadpool some more in his next film. It's not yet known how large of a role they'll play in the sequel, though, especially considering Deadpool 2 is also supposed to feature Domino and the time-traveler Cable.
Reese and Wernick also revealed in a Facebook Live Q&A with Nerdist that Deadpool's friendly and funny taxi driver Dopinder (Karan Soni) will also return. For Wernick, "the relationship between Dopinder and Deadpool was the most fun for me."
"I love that relationship and I love that character," Wernick said. "And he’ll be in the sequel."
After Deadpool director Tim Miller's departure from the sequel, John Wick director David Leitch was picked to helm the film. Ryan Reynolds recently talked about the new director and the decision to not go "bigger" than the original.
There were also rumors of Deadpool possibly showing up in the end of the upcoming third Wolverine film, Logan, but both director James Mangold and Reynolds denied the reports.
