John Cena to Help Advertise Nintendo Switch in the US

You can see him.

The 15-time WWE world champion, John Cena has teamed up with Nintendo to help promote the Nintendo Switch for one stop of a three-location US tour.

Cena, who famously suffers from delusions of being the invisible man despite a smattering of evidence proving his crystal-clear visibility, will be on-hand during the first Switch pop-up event at Blue Cloud Movie Ranch, California on February 23 to show off 1, 2 Switch.

He's apparently been chosen because his athleticism and acting ability make him "as versatile as the Nintendo Switch console itself." Ahem. A selection of YouTube influencers will also be there to further promote the Switch.

The second day of Switch road trip is set for February 27 at the Snowmass ski resort in Aspen, showing how the console can be played anywhere, even on top of a mountain. As for the third day, that one takes place on the Switch’s launch day of March 3 at Madison Square Park in New York. Mario and Luigi will be there on the final day. Presumably the brothers were too busy to attend the other two days?

Via NintendoLife, Nintendo of America senior vice president, Doug Bowser, had the following to say:

“The upcoming launch of the unique Nintendo Switch console calls for a unique series of celebrations,” says Bowser. “These unexpected locations perfectly highlight the features of the new system, as well as provide one-of-a-kind surprise-and-delight moments that Nintendo does best.”
