Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a 13.4GB Download on Switch

A memory card may be needed.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild will take up 13.4GB of hard drive space on Switch.

It’s worth pointing out the Switch ships with 32GB of internal memory, and some of that space will be taken up by the system’s operating system, meaning Zelda will take up nearly half of the available space. Thankfully, during the Switch reveal, Nintendo mentioned you can expand the storage via microSDXC cards.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild is set to release alongside the Switch console on March 3, 2017. It’ll also be available for Wii U on the same date.

There have been several big announcements regarding Link’s newest adventure in the past few hours. Zelda and Bokoblin will be getting their own amiibo figurines to go alongside the previously-announced Breath of the Wild line-up. There will also be two different special editions for those with a few extra rupees to spare.

The Master Edition comes with a copy of the game, Master Sword of Resurrection statue, Nintendo Switch Sheikah Slate Carrying Case, a Sheikah Eye Collectible Coin, a Relic of Hyrule: Calamity Ganon Tapestry and Weather-Worn Map, and a Breath of the Wild Sound Selection CD. This pack retails for $129.99.

If you’re not too fussed about the Master Sword statue, there’s another Special Edition for $99.99. This one includes all of the above, minus the statue.
