Marvel's upcoming Netflix-exclusive ensemble series The Defenders will debut this summer.
Confirmation of the show's summer 2017 debut comes by way of Entertainment Weekly, who recently visited the set in Brooklyn where filming for the first group scene that unites Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil), Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, and Finn Jones' Danny Rand (aka Iron Fist) was underway.

The four cross paths after finding themselves trapped in a corridor at the Midland Circle offices, where they must fight their way to through a group of foes.
"Every one of them is following their own trail of bread crumbs, trying to unpack a mystery in New York," The Defenders showrunner Marco Ramirez told EW. With regard to their first big meet-up, Ramirez added, "We wanted them all caught off guard. Once they're in that room together, it’s kind of like, 'Oh, s**t, who are you?'"
