DC Comics has revealed the new costume Superman is sporting in 2017.
As revealed by ComicBook.com, the Man of Steel's new outfit will debut this April on the cover of Superman #20 from artist Patrick Gleason, as well as in Action Comics #977. For an early glimpse at the iconic hero's new look, check out the image below.
The new outfit "is materially the same one he's been wearing since the start of Rebirth," according to ComicBook.com, but features a metallic belt with a yellow pentagon-shaped buckle that is reminiscent of the House of El. Additionally, his cuffs are gone and he's wearing red metallic boots with the iconic "jagged" design.
It's also worth noting that the classic "S" shield design is consistent with his look in Rebirth, and he's seen sporting a big smile. In addition to the image above, you can head over here for another look at Superman's new outfit.
That's not the only exciting news for DC fans this week, as just a few days ago a selection of titles from DC Comics' Rebirth launched digitally free of charge through participating libraries.
