Spider-Man: Why Keaton Likes Playing MCU's Vulture

He believes the Vulture isn't just pure evil.

Vulture actor Michael Keaton shared what he most likes about playing one of Spider-Man's biggest villains in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming.

While speaking with Variety, Keaton talked about how it's been awhile since he has got to play a villain in a film. But in the actor's opinion, what drew him most about Vulture is the fact that he isn't all evil, and people will be able relate to the character and his viewpoints.

"He’s a really interesting — and more interesting than I thought — villain because there’s parts of him that you go, “You know what? I might see his point," Keaton said.

Keaton was also asked whether he was hesitant to star in another comic book movie after doing the two Tim Burton Batman films, to which the actor said no and explained he initially didn't sign on for Spider-Man: Homecoming because "it didn't work in my schedule."

"Then I’m glad to say, they kind of shifted the scheduling and it worked out," Keaton said. "So it fit in and I’m glad I did it."

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theater July 7th. Peter Parker actor Tom Holland recently called Vulture's debut in the film "like a horror movie."
